PiE is a community of people living within the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. We acknowledge that when European settlers first came to this land, they entered into a sacred treaty, the Two Row Wampum, with the Indigenous nations of this land. This treaty has been, and continues to be, violated, by European/Canadian colonial practices.
As a community committed to sacred justice, we seek to continue learning about the ongoing impact of colonization, to participate in disrupting oppressive systems, and to humbly seek a new way of relationship with the Indigenous nations in this place.
