Singing Songs for the Holy Other: A PiE Hymn Sing!

More and more churches are choosing to publicly say: God welcomes all. That all forms of gender expression and sexual orientation are holy and included in the love of Christ.

It is important that our hymns reflect the beautiful diversity of God’s creation!

Songs for the Holy Other is a new collection of hymns created by the Hymn Society of Canada and the United States that are by, for, or about those who identify as members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

This collection emerged from a desire to make queer hymns accessible to a wider range of congregations. Songs for the Holy Other provides congregations with a toolbox of hymns. You can access the collection on the Hymn Society’s page – https://thehymnsociety.org/resources/songs-for-the-holy-other/

Come and experience this collection of hymns in person! We will be singing a selection of hymns, led by the project’s coordinator Cedar Klassen.

Join us for our Queer Hymn Sing on November 10th from 3 – 430pm at Rockway Mennonite Church in Kitchener!
