PiE’s Send Care Campaign

This past February we sent care packages to 40 young adults. These yellow envelopes were filled with chocolate, tea, and lip balm to nurture our bodies as well as reflections and invitations to online worship services to nurture our spirits.

Covid has been a time of isolation and disconnection for many of our participants. Sending care packages is one way we can support, show hospitality and care in a tangible form. In this first set of care packages it was meaningful to be able to reach out to local PiE participants as well as friends of PiE new and old who live outside of Waterloo Region.

This April we will be sending out another set of care packages!  Inside there will be items of care along with reflections and materials to explore the theme “renew”.  During this resurrection season PiE will be exploring how our recovery and climate action can prayerfully intertwine. One of the items inside will be vegetable seeds along with an invitation to connect online for a garden blessing.

Are you interested in supporting this care-giving ministry?

A donation as small as $10 is enough to send a care package.  Funds raised will allow us to continue to send care packages as well as offer other forms of care and hospitality to young adults through small groups and events this year.

Please consider supporting our Send Care campaign 🙂
