Longing for Hope: An Online and Outdoor Advent Retreat

Advent has new meaning this year as we long for hope in the midst of very challenging times.

Join the PiE pastors for a day of prayer, reflection, art, music and hope-seeking as we start the advent journey. We will reflect on how our lives, our communities and the world have changed during COVID and on what we long for moving forward.

Schedule for Saturday, November 28th:

10:30 – We will gather at Waterloo Park to retreat outside together. Warm beverages and winter bathrooms will be available. We will practice safe physical distancing and mask wearing when we are together, and will continue to adapt our plan as the COVID situation changes.

1200 – Lunch catered by Copper Branch. Your lunch will be individually packaged. Choose to eat together in the park, or take-it-along to begin your reflection time. Retreatants will be sent an email to choose from 4 or so choices for lunch (such as vegan chill, burger, noodle bowl, wrap)

1230 – Individual reflection time. Resources will be available for you to take with you as you head home or off for a walk. During this time you can sign up for a 20 minute spiritual direction time if you wish.

230-4pm – We will meet online to continue our retreat, reflect together on our experiences, and worship together.

The cost including lunch is $35 or pay-what-you-can. We have funds available to support anyone who would like to participate, please do not let cost be a barrier 🙂

We are looking forward to being together!
